Mumbai:- While celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of independence of India, the schools dating back to the Nizam era in the dilapidated condition will be transformed. Similarly, the situation of roads in the city will be improved. The underground sewage line at the Satara -Deolai will also be resolved soon said chief minister Mr Uddhav Thackeray. He conducted a meeting at his official residence Varsha, today and directed to carry on various developmental works of Aurangabad on fast track.

He further said that the courses should be started at the Saint Eknath Maharaj Sant Peeth which is the cultural symbol of the state. This decision will definitely boost the study and research of saint tradition and saint literature, he added. In the meeting, the chief minister assured that by the continuous follow- up with the union rail ministry, the Aurangabad -Ahmednagar railway line construction work will be pushed ahead.

Saint Peeth should become a University
It was informed to the chief minister that the Sant Eknath Maharaj Sant Peeth building and hostel is ready in the Paithan town of Aurangabad district but the courses had not yet started. In reply, the chief minister asked to bring together the Scholars like Shankar Abhyankar and others who are expert in saint literature and take up the matter for discussion. He also suggested restructuring the trust so as to accommodate such experts. Mr Thackeray instructed to initiate action for starting the academic year at the Sant Peeth which is the cultural symbol of Maharashtra state. He said that for m the Sant Peeth into University, follow -up should be taken and the matter should be taken to the University Grants Commission ?(UGC).

Schools of Nizam Era to transform
144 School buildings in the position of Aurangabad Zilla Parishad ,date back to the Nizam period and maximum of these buildings are dilapidated and on the verge of breaking down. While celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence of the nation, the reconstruction and sustainable maintenance of these school buildings should be taken up and long lasting buildings should be constructed, the chief minister directed.

Aurangabad roads to be improved

The Commissioner of Aurangabad municipal corporation (AMC) Mr Astik Kumar Pandey said that the underground sewage line in the Satara -Deolai region needs 382 crore rupees whereas another 317.22 crore rupees are needed for constructing the prime roads in the city. The chief minister directed to construct these roads from the Maha Urban development fund (Maharashtra Nagarutthan Nidhi) with immediate effect.
Late Balasaheb Thackeray memorial and Smriti van
The chief minister also took the stock of the construction of Swargiya Balasaheb Thackeray memorial and Smrit van in Aurangabad. He directed that the Smritivan should be known for its conservation of local trees as well as the unique bird Park.
Resolve Gunthewari issue with greater pace
The municipal commissioner said that the Gunthewari cell has been established in the local civic body and 52 institutions have been given the responsibility for accepting the region -wise proposals of Gunthewari. The chief minister said that the process of regularizing under the Gunthewari should be taken up with speed and within few months, the work should be completed.
Aurangabad Safari Park
The Aurangabad Safari Park should be one ‘with the difference’ at the global level and large number of animals should be accommodated in the park, the chief minister said.
Aurangabad -Ahmednagar rail route

Presently, the distance between Aurangabad -Manmad -Ahmednagar is 265 km by the rail route. As a substitute, the 112 km railway route between Aurangabad and Ahmednagar has been proposed. The DM of Aurangabad Mr Chavhan told the chief minister that if this railway route starts operation, the industries and business will get a fillip. The chief minister directed to make a follow -up with the rail ministry and also assured that the state government will provide all possible assistance in this regard.
Aurangabad -Shirdi air route
The Aurangabad -Shirdi road construction of 112.40 km is going on at greater pace under the Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg. This will connect Aurangabad and Shirdi airport. The chief minister said that if this service is started between Aurangabad to Shirdi, it will facilitate the tourist and at the same time also boost the tourism. He directed to chalk out this option, too.

Grishneshwar Temple development and synthetic track gets Green Signal
The chief minister directed to made available funds for the construction of meeting hall at the Grishneshwar temple area. He also asked to initiate the tender for construction of synthetic track at the Divisional Sports Complex.
Developmental works will gain momentum -Guardian minister Desai
Guardian minister of Aurangabad Mr Subhash Desai said that while celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of India’s Independence, the buildings belonging to Nizam era and resting with the Zilla Parishad, will be repaired and a good signal will be given by developing these schools. He said that while going ahead with the quality developmental work in Aurangabad district, care will be taken to ascertain that it is also sustainable. He also assured that emphasis will be given on making available the infrastructure facilities for enhancing the industrial and agricultural growth in the district.
